Our purpose
Our purpose is to improve the recognition and understanding of thoracic endometriosis and to advocate for timely, coordinated and appropriate care. We do this by making information accessible, gathering patient-reported evidence and working constructively with patients, clinicians, researchers and policy decision-makers.
Our mission
To reduce avoidable delay and harm by helping thoracic endometriosis become a recognised part of conversations about recurrent chest symptoms, while strengthening the evidence needed for better pathways and guidance.
Our vision
A future in which people with possible thoracic endometriosis are listened to, assessed appropriately and able to access coordinated care.
Why a CIC?
Thoracic Endo Co is a community interest company: a limited company designed to operate for community benefit as a not-for-profit, rather than for private advantage. Our activities and use of resources will be directed towards the community we serve.
What we are not
- We are not an emergency service, a substitute for healthcare or medical advisors.
- We do not diagnose, recommend an individual treatment plan or provide medical opinions.
- We do not promise a particular clinical outcome or referral.
